Each season, Hotel Sacacomie provides many activities as much diversified as authentic. The activities are reserved exclusively to hosting customers.

Watercraft
Adopt the pace of nature while discovering Sacacomie Lake. Canoe, kayak and pedal boats are at your disposal for a ride on the lake.
Hiking
Nature lovers, take in our vast grounds stretching over 500 km2 of which there are over 65 km of forest trails with gazebo and rest areas.
Private Beach
Enjoy our private beach. After a swim in the pure water of Sacacomie Lake, enjoy the scenery provided by the untouched nature while lying down in one of our long chairs.
Indoor Swimming Pool
Go to the GEOS Spa Sacacomie to enjoy our indoor pool.

Motor Boat
Take a few hours to discover Sacacomie Lake aboard a motor launch. If you feel adventurous, take a break while eating a snack or relaxing on one of our many deserted islands of the lake.
Commander (ATV) or Buggy
Our experienced guides offer excursions by commander from the hotel to the trails of the Mastigouche wildlife reserve. Discover landscapes inaccessible by foot or car; drive along lakes and cross rivers and forests and see fabulous scenery on mountain tops.
Fishing
With more than 7 lakes, whether you are an enthusiast or novice, you will find the type of fishing that suits you! Depending on the chosen fishing, the boat, the electric motor, the line and bait are included.
Try casting your line at brook trout and rainbow trout in Atocat Lake. Take a break, a small cabin and picnic tables are at your disposal.
Lake trout fishing on Sacacomie Lake is unique; it can be fished at day break or sunset. It gives you a chance to catch an impressive sized fish.
For an unparalleled experience, a fishing trip accompanied by a guide served with breakfast on the shore at Canitchez Lake will make your day an unforgettable event. Try fishing bass under the guidance of your experienced guide, observe your guide cook your catch on a wood fire and savour it in a traditional cabin.
The Rabaska Excursion
Step back in time: do as the fur traders of the seventeenth and eighteenth century did and discover Sacacomie Lake in a large canoe. Once built in bark, the rabaska can carry up to 12 persons. Make a stopover shore side and enjoy a homemade wintergreen tea prepared by your guide. On your return trip do not forget to sing to keep the pace.
Observation of bears and beavers
End the day with an activity of the novel. Three hours before sunset, travel in an all-terrain vehicle with your guide trapper. Observe the beaver in its natural habitat and discover his lifestyle. Continue to discover the wildlife of the Saint Maurice region; join the guide in a wooden cabin designed to see the black bears in their natural habitat. How many will you have the chance to see?!
Woodsman Hiking
Using a rabaska, visit the trapping site of our woodsman on an island in Canitchez Lake. Let him tell you his lifestyle and cook you bannock (Indian bread) on a wood fire.
Maple Sugar Feast
Come satisfy your sweet tooth at the maple forest pavilion! Visit the maple forest and learn the techniques of syrup making and its history. Continue with the tasting of traditional dishes (pea soup, homemade bread, house-ketchup, baked beans, omelette, smoked ham, potato fricassee, ear crunches) and maple products (pancakes, grandfather’s dumplings and taffy).
Horseback Riding
Under the trained eye of your instructor, get on horseback and ride landscaped trails in the forest. One-hour and half-a-day rides are offered. The half-a-day ride makes a stop at a lake to enjoy venison sausage by a campfire.
Small Farmyard – One-day Visit
Your little-ones have the privilege of visiting our mini-farm. Tasks of the upkeeper: collecting eggs; vis1it the rabbits and the horses, feed the goats and the guinea pigs. The activity ends with a pony or horse ride with a guide holding the animal by the bridle.
Polar Dog Interpretation Centre
Although dog sledding season is over, you can visit these energetic animals. The off-season kennel is located a few kilometers from the hotel. Let us take you there in an ATV. Once there, the ‘’musher’’ will let you discover the life cycle of the animal and the equipment used during the winter hiking season.
Excursion to Montreal or Quebec City
No time to make a stop in Montreal or Quebec City? We can arrange a visit with a driver-guide to one of the two largest cities in the province of Quebec.
Seaplane
For an unforgettable experience, let yourself be seduced by a 20-minute seaplane flight over the hotel, the Mastigouche wildlife sanctuary, and the 600 lakes of Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. Images forever etched in your memory!
